Four by Three acquires Julian C. Santos’ ‘The Last Christmas Party’
Four by Three has acquired the distribution rights to Julian C. Santos’ debut feature The Last Christmas Party. A unique romantic drama, The Last Christmas Party is a bittersweet holiday movie about the highs and lows of romance in college. The movie is told in nonlinear order and replays the party from the perspective of three different couples.
The film was written and directed by Julian C. Santos and stars Anna Clare Kerr, James Williams, Martin Drop, Lainey Woo, Gabe Armentano, and Samantha Brooks. The Last Christmas Party has been accepted into several film festivals, including the Manhattan Film Festival, and early reviews have called it “…a magnificent expression of what cinema can do with just a camera, a bunch of willing people, and, obviously a lot of talent.” (Rome Prisma).
The Last Christmas Party was produced by Troy Enoka, Julian C. Santos and Scottie Schwefel. The score is composed by Jake Tavill. The party atmosphere is bolstered by a soundtrack featuring the songs of various indie musicians — ÊMIA, Caroline Lazar, Rella, Total Downer, Ritual Boys Club, and Rachel Chiara.
The Last Christmas Party is the first major feature film role of Samantha Brooks — granddaughter of legendary filmmaker Mel Brooks.
Julian C. Santos is a Filipino-American filmmaker, based in New York City. He loves to tell character-driven ensemble pieces that reflect his own experiences. Santos graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2018 and has directed award-winning short films and music videos in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and San Francisco. He currently has two feature screenplays in development.
