Four by Three acquires indie comedy Reception, partners with San Diego-based production company Hot ’n’ Tedious
Four by Three has acquired the distribution rights to the upcoming independent comedy film Reception.
Shot on location in San Diego, Reception follows six friends that reunite to attend the wedding of a couple they knew from high school.
Reception is the debut feature of director Nick La Marca and was written by La Marca and Jackson Shipman. The film stars Sarah Doerner, Jackson Shipman, Kaylee McGregor, Allan Weedman, Elizabeth Manning, Samuel Uehling, Kyra Badiner, and Noah Davenport.
The film was accepted to Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema and took home Best Narrative Film at INDIEFest Film Festival and Chicago Indie Film Awards.
Reception was produced by Charlotte Forward for Hot ’N’ Tedious Films with Ricardo Campos, Andrew Ferreira, Alex Hrisanthopoulos, Nick La Marca, Jackson Shipman and Allan Weedman serving as Co-Producers and Chase Crawford serving as Executive Producer. Ben Schulze and Cameron Wayne Zirbel composed the film.
Reception marks the first of three feature films the Hot ’N’ Tedious team plan to release in 2023.
